We run all our surgeries by an appointment only system (this includes ‘walk through’ flu clinics). Appointments can be booked by filling out an eConsult, which you can access through the home screen of this website; you do not need a log in. If you are unable to do this, please call our Reception Team in advance on 01273 523623.
We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available, we may book you with another clinician. Some of our doctors work only part time at the surgery; therefore it may be difficult to see them on the day you wish to be seen. We would kindly ask for your consideration in this matter.
We are offering on-line telephone appointment booking to our patients. The appointments that will be offered are for advance booking with GPs and ANP’s only. You can view available appointments up to 5 weeks in advance. If you do not have SystemOnline but want this facility please contact Reception who can set this up for you.

This is to ensure our staff, the patients who do need to be seen face to face are kept safe, and the numbers of people in the building at any one time are kept to a minimum. Please be reassured if you do need to be seen face to face for an assessment we can organise this for you but it will be on a case-by-case basis once you have been assessed initially over the phone by a member of the team.
If you need to be seen by a member of the practice nursing team the receptionists can usually book this for you.
If you are unwell and you think you may need to be seen urgently or need an urgent phone call please call our Reception Team (this does not need to be at 8am) who will put you on our Duty list. A clinician will contact you, either directly (by email, telephone and text) or through our Reception Team. You will either be given advice by clinician, offered a face-to-face appointment where appropriate or rebooked for a non-urgent call.
Telephone appointments due to Covid-19
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our Reception Team cannot book face-to-face appointments with a GP or ANP (Advanced Nurse Practitioner). If you wish to be seen in the surgery, you will first need a telephone call with a GP / ANP, they will organise a face-to-face appointment with you if it is clinically necessary. Please note, many issues can be dealt with over the phone.
The Reception Team may ask a number of questions when you phone in, primarily regarding the reason for your call and how long you have had symptoms. This is done to ensure you speak to the most appropriate member of our clinical team, and in a timely manner. Our Nurse Practitioners can see patients with a wide range of minor ailments, and Rachel and Trudi can prescribe.
Extended Hours Appointments
The surgery does also offer out of hours appointment. These are available for anyone to book in to or you can also book into these slots via your online service or NHS App. Appointment are usually provided every evening after 6pm till 8pm, and then on Saturday. These appointment are coordinated by HERE and you may be contacted by a clinician who is working in another part of the city. Don't worry they will still have access to your records and be able to prescribe for you.
Cancellation & running late
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. You can cancel by choosing option 1 on our telephone system (01273 523623) – no need to speak to anyone, just leave a message, or online via the link at the top of this page. You can also text back to the SMS message you had reminding you of your appointment.
Unless there are exceptional circumstances, we are sorry to say that you will not be seen if you arrive for your appointment more than 10 minutes late.
